Recorded in a completely improvised stream of single takes in the studio, 'Threedom' - from the fiery and visionary Pilc Moutin Hoenig trio - marks the members' first recording together since they first rocked the jazz world as the explosive 'Jean-Michel Pilc Trio' in 2002, igniting crowds at festivals across Europe.
The disc brilliantly documents the group's singular and completely unpredictable improvisational synchronicity. Pilc, a major player on the European and Canadian jazz circuit, is rapidly gaining ground in America as one of the most exciting and unpredictable pianists in jazz. Hoenig was recently named by Time Out New York as one of The 25 Essential New York City Jazz Icons. He has gained a great deal of press exposure due to his recent solo release, 'Lines of Oppression'. Moutin tours steadily with The Moutin Brothers and the quartet has recently been featured in Downbeat magazine, All Music Guide, All About Jazz NY and the Chicago Examiner.
Personnel: Jean-Michel Pilc (piano), Francois Moutin (bass), Ari Hoenig (drums)
