Биография

Brothers and partners in crime, Dirt Platoon has been educating hoods across the United States since 2002. With the debut of their first album Daily Routine Raf Almighty and Snook da Crook began their journey to underground notoriety in Baltimore City. D.P. continued to captivate the airwaves with the release of their second project Mood Swingz. The 2nd album gave Dirt Platoons fans a chance to get to know the rap duo; exhibiting the groups intellect, lives, struggles and most importantly hip hop in its former states. In 2005, their 3rd album was release entitled The Introduction: Operation 410. This album was the first to be release to a vast audience via the World Wide Web and many feel this album was way before its time. In fact, in 2006 both the Daily Routine and The Intro receive rave reviews in the Baltimore City Paper complements of Jess Harvell.
Within two years D.P. would one to release80s made me and The Mr. Marcus Mix-tape, in which both were given critical acclaim by their receiving audience. The duo took some time to tour in cities all over the east coast. Gaining new fans and allowing their audiences to witness the energetic performances they have become notorious for. Dirt Platoon has also become very familiar with the Baltimore and surrounding areas airwaves interviewing and receiving airplay on stations such as Morgan State University's 88.9fm and 92Q (WERQ) a popular Radio One syndicate located in Baltimore Maryland.
In 2010,The Brute and The Brain was released for distribution .Taking their business to the next level; D.P. recorded videos consecutively for singles Strapped and Favorite Song off of that album. Both videos made their video debut on the internet and were very well received. Also in 2010 the rap duo signed their first recording contract with Brake Fast Records an independent label. Dirt Platoon released their 7th project Deeper Than Dirt on September 15th 2010 and maintained being the opening act for artist lick EPMD. In December of 2010, Dirt platoon shared the headlining marquee with Keith Murray. The duo also scored the first endorsement with Blunt power MD a fragrance company within that same month.
